working together

These days, it can be hard to cut through the noise. With endless inspiration at our fingertips, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by choices, trends and expectations.

That’s where we come in.

As we get to know you, we’ll help bring clarity to your ideas, uncovering what feels natural and allowing your personality shine through in the details. Less about impressing, more about expressing.

Led by thoughtful design, we help create an atmosphere for love, laughter and energy that lingers long after the celebration ends.

Since starting the business back in 2023, Jemma has been supported by her partner Jake. Unofficially the head of operations at Creative Kindred, he wears many hats from production to logistics and all the heavy lifting legwork. He has been quietly instrumental in the success of the company and being the owner of a construction business certainly comes in handy as together they are often working to bring new concepts to life. No dream or idea is too big.

Over the past 3 years the company has evolved, and what started as a passion for creating event spaces has evolved into styling full scale events that feel as intentional as they are effortless. Now, Jemma brings a fashion-forward eye and a love of storytelling to weddings and celebrations across the region.

We work in close collaboration with trusted local florist Lauren from Pastel Posy, allowing us to create beautifully cohesive designs across both styling and florals. Our approach is designed to be simple and streamlined for our couples and clients. We guide you through the creative decisions, refine the details together and make the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable along the way.

About Us

After over a decade in the fashion industry - including time spent abroad, Jemma developed a deep understanding of the creative planning process. During this time, she honed a skill set that seamlessly translates into the styling space. Product development, creative concepts, brand strategy and collaborating closely with fellow creatives.

After returning to Gippsland and settling into family life, Jemma still had a strong passion for design. She sought a creative outlet to channel her energy with a new perspective and an old love: celebrating people, moments and beautiful design. Thus, Creative Kindred was born.

As a mum of 2, managing the business with two small kids requires next level planning and Jemma takes it all in her stride with equal parts structure, flexibility and a sense of humour. Jemma does some of her best creative thinking in the quiet of the evening, once the kids are asleep. Don’t be surprised if a thoughtful late-night email finds its way to your inbox, it simply means she is in her element.

With her calm approach and easy-going nature Jemma brings clarity to your ideas – even the half-formed ones and a signature style to every event.
